Forget Katy Perry's 'Engagement' Ring — Let's Talk About John Mayer's Many Necklaces

(ABC)Katy Perry got tongues wagging about an engagement to boyfriend John Mayer over the weekend when she stepped out with a ring on that finger the day after Valentine's Day. Given how nauseatingly public the pair have been about their romance, it wouldn't be terribly surprising if they are indeed planning to get married. But Perry has sported sparklers on her left ring finger before for no particular reason, so we're not going to throw a congratulations their way until they make an official announcement.
Besides, John Mayer's impressive collection of necklaces is much more interesting than any diamond solitaire. It may even be more impressive than his collection of hats.
A lot of his pieces, like his music, reflect a strong Americana influence. In the video for "Who You Love," he wore what appeared to be a collection of silver feathers, while his lady love wore a Navajo squash blossom necklace.

He later borrowed her necklace for those cringeworthy television appearances the duo made to promote their video.
He's been wearing this necklace quite often over the past couple of months, including for a performance at Howard Stern's birthday bash last month in New York City.
