Lady Gaga Defends Miley Cyrus, Apologizes to Christina Aguilera on 'Watch What Happens Live'

(PacificCoastNews)Lady Gaga paid a visit to Watch What Happens Live on Wednesday night, opening up to host Andy Cohen about her use of MDMA (don't do it, kids), her cancelled duet with Cher (it wasn't up to her standards), and her bisexuality ("I like girls"). Naturally, the talk turned to the lady of the hour, Gaga's pop contemporary Miley Cyrus.

"I mean, I just think everyone has to lighten up and leave her alone. Because it's pop music, everybody is entitled to their own artistic expression. And if you have a problem with it just change the channel," Gaga insisted.

"I don't understand the incessant need to go on and on about hating things ... She's growing up in front of the entire world and maybe she's not so happy with the things that she did in her career when she was younger and she wants to be free. So let her do what she wants."

Gaga also cleared up her supposed "feud" with Christina Aguilera, the origins of which can be traced back to Perez Hilton and accusations of image-snatching.

"I’m a very big fan of Christina Aguilera. From the very beginning of when my career started there was all this controversy about the two of us. And I always felt that was very unfair to her,” Gaga began.  "Christina is an incredible vocalist and an incredible artist, and from me to her I’m so sorry for anything that anyone ever said to her because of my existence, and I hope that she never felt any way about it."
