'Real Housewives of DC' to Premiere Thursday

Real Housewives of DC is the next reality series in the Real Housewives franchise, and it sounds like the ladies are going to get political. The new show premieres Thursday on Bravo, and it's a little different than what you've seen in New York and Orange County.

Bravo exec Andy Cohen said (via ABCNews.com), "This show has a different vibe. The housewives are fighting about politics. That's a new discourse. It's one of the things we hoped would come out of this series."

Don't worry: That doesn't mean these stars won't still get catty from time to time. The castmembers include Mary Schmidt Amons, granddaughter of radio star Arthur Godfrey; Lynda Erkiletian, who owns a modeling agency; Michaele Salahi, the now infamous White House party crasher; Stacie Scott Turner, a real estate queen; and Cat Ommanney, and interior designer from London.

Let the battle for political power begin!
