Rick Moranis Emerges from Retirement With 'My Mother's Brisket & Other Love Songs'

The star of too many family-friendly '80s films went underground in the late '90s, choosing spend more time with his children (his wife, Ann, died of cancer in 1991). But now he's back — not on the big screen as a lovable, bumbling dweeb, but with a new album, My Mother's Brisket and Other Love Songs.

As Vulture's Zach Dionne points out, Moranis' timing couldn't be better: Ghostbusters 3 is scheduled to start filming this fall. Precious few details are available about the new album, but the cover art (featured on Moranis' official website) is pretty satisfying:
