Russell Simmons is living proof that divorces suck and children just make the situation a hell of a lot more expensive. After separating in 2006 and finalizing their divorce just last month, a judge has finally signed off on a child support deal for Simmons and Kimora Lee Simmons.

According to E!, the 51-year-old hip hop mogul will pay Kimora $40,000 a month in child support payments. That's $20,000 per child until their two daughters reach 19 1/2-years of age.

Simmons was also granted monitored visitation rights and is required to provide a car to transport the children until they turn 16.

But not just any car, a new car, worth at least $60,000, that must be traded in for a new model every three years. Because the kids should never be caught in an used or outdated car. Honestly, that's just good parenting!

The former couple's daughters are 9 and 6-years-old, which means by the end of this whole ordeal Simmons will have paid more than $5,500,000 in child support and bought at least $180,000 worth of brand new cars for his daughters to be chauffeured in.

Does anyone else think this is a ridiculous amount of money? Especially considering that Kimora isn't exactly struggling to take care of the girls without Simmons. She's the CEO of Phat Fashions and she stars in her own reality show, Kimora Lee: Life in the Fab Lane.

Kimora was also granted sole custody of the children, Simmons will have custody every eighth week of the school year, as well as pre-determined holidays.

It kind of sucks to be Russell Simmons right now.
