The Next Season of 'Dancing With the Stars' Will Feature Derek & Julianne Hough and...Ryan Lochte?
This should be interesting.
The good news: all-star dancing siblings Julianne and Derek Hough are returning to Dancing With the Stars. The unexpected but also maybe good news: Olympic swimmer Ryan Lochte has signed on. Everything is going swimmingly. He's getting his dancing feet wet. It's all downstream from here. 'Kay, done.
On Friday, People confirmed the Houghs would head back where it all started for them as they'd committed to joining season 23 of the hit dancing competition.
Julianne will once again take a place at the judge's table, while older brother Derek will dance with the stars. Interestingly, brothers Maksim and Valentin Chmerkovskiy will also return to the show this season.
News that Lochte would be putting on his dancing shoes broke shortly after the Olympian's controversy in Rio. He has since admitted he "made up" details about being held up at gun point at a convenience store.
ABC has yet to confirm Lochte's participation.
Dancing with the Stars returns to ABC September 12.
