Praise Be, Keanu Reeves Is Going To Voice A Character In 'Toy Story 4'
Tim Allen blurted out the news on last night's appearance on late-night TV.
Come give thanks with me as we celebrate some very important news: Keanu Reeves, internet boyfriend and maybe Winona Ryder's husband, is set to voice an animated character in Pixar's upcoming Toy Story 4. No, this is not a drill. And, yes, this news is better than all the turkey face stuffing that went down on Thanksgiving yesterday.
The casting news, aside from strangely fulfilling some inexplicable fan girl fantasy, is also significant for another important reason. Deadline notes that Reeves's mystery role in Toy Story 4 will be the first time he has ever lent his beautiful voice to a big animated feature film. We don't know how that is possible, but congrats, Keanu, on this milestone.
Now before we get ourselves worked up over this, I'd like to point out the source of this golden nugget of info. Tim Allen, who played Buzz Lightyear (to infinity and beyond!), revealed the news on last night's appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. It seems like one of those tidbits that Allen may or may not have had the go-ahead to reveal, so let's see whether Allen gets in trouble or not, or whether Pixar decides to just roll with the punches and give my thirsty self more deets.
Now for the bigger question. Who or what will Keanu Reeves be voicing?
*March 19, 2019 update: Keanu will be bringing his voice to Duke Caboom, a 1970s toy based on Canada’s greatest daredevil and stuntman.
And we've got a trailer!
