Kevin and Zoe's relationship is going to take off, but Beth isn't fully aboard this 'ship

Thankfully, this exchange becomes a funny encounter when she's unable to hold a conversation with either Kevin or Zoe — this relationship is sure to cause some tension. Hopefully not the same kind of tension as Rebecca and Miguel's relationship, though.

Kevin's trip to Vietnam with Zoe will illuminate Jack's past and Kevin's connection with his family (or lack thereof)

We don't know what journey Kevin is on this season — just that his relationship with Zoe will be a huge part of it, and will help us learn more about Beth's past.

We'll see more of Jack and Rebecca's courtship, which began in the Season 1 finale

It will be "picking up from the night they first met and how they spent the rest of that evening," Moore shares. This will surely lead to conversations (and flashbacks) about Jack's brother, who will be a new figure in the series. The show will delve even further into the past to explore Jack's tour in Vietnam.

Kate tries to get Toby out of bed. He's clearly depressed, but it's unclear why. As it turns out, in the new season, Kate and Toby will have fertility troubles. In the video, there's a brief clip of their wedding night in which they try to conceive. Could this be the reason Toby is so depressed?

The showrunners have stated Season 3 will break all of their own rules

This will be interesting to see. Hopefully this won't alter the quality of our favorite saddest show.

"We are challenging ourselves in season three," said co-showrunner Issac Aptaker. "Now that we've figured out that our audience is along for the ride... we're kind of breaking all the rules. We're challenging ourselves to jump to decades we've never been to before, and going to the future as we've seen a little bit, and really play with the storytelling format in a way that's just much more complicated than we were able to in earlier seasons, when we were kind of showing people how the show worked."
