The 2019 SAG Awards Nominees Prove Netflix Rules Everything
But we didn't have to tell you that.
On the heels of the 2019 Golden Globes nominations, the SAG Awards released its list of nominees, which annually honors the best in TV and film. For the big screen, A Star Is Born leads the pack with four nominations, including noms for Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga for Outstanding Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role and Outstanding Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role respectively. The Favourite and BlacKkKlansman follow with three nominations each.
The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel and Ozark are small-screen leaders with four total nominations apiece. GLOW, The Handmaid's Tale, and the Bill Hader-led dark comedy Barry also got SAG Awards love.
Finally (and no surprise here), Netflix continues to prove it dominates everything in life with a total of 15 nominations across most categories. But given the amount of new shows and films they produce and air on their streaming platform a year, are we really that surprised?
Check out the full list below. And mark your calendars — the SAG Awards are set to air on TNT on January 27 at 8 p.m. ET.
