“Spiritual Minnesota soul man” Nicholas David was eliminated first, which left Scottish singer Terry McDermott and former Hey Monday frontwoman Cassadee Pope vying for the top spot. In the end, 23-year-old Pope became The Voice's first female winner and the second consecutive winner from Blake Shelton's team.
Zimbio readers correctly predicted Pope's win, with 45% of them saying the West Palm Beach, FL native deserved to walk away with the season title. Pope burst into tears after the big announcement, then pulled herself together enough to thank her family, fans, the Voice judges, and everyone who had voted for her.
