Will Smith Is Producing a 'Fresh Prince' Reboot
Now this is a story all about how 'Fresh Prince' got flipped-turned upside down...
The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air is coming back to us.
In the midst of what has been a steady stream of reboot announcements, it now seems the mega-popular 90s show is in plans for a revival — produced by none other than Will Smith (the original Prince) himself. Fresh Prince was the actor's first success in the industry, so it's likely the show has special meaning for him.
Reportedly, Smith's own production company, Overbook Entertainment (brother-in-law Caleeb Pinkett and wife Jada Pinkett-Smith are also on the team) will tackle the project, giving the reboot a fresh vibe with an undisclosed "spin."
Would it not be the best thing for Smith's sons, Jaden and Trey, and daughter, Willow, to be a part of what already seems to be a family project? Jaden received a lot of flack for his appearance in After Earth, but maybe comedy is more his scene.
And Willow, well, she's just generally fabulous.
