From Bill Gates' Epic Cameo To Jerry O'Connell Playing Sheldon's Brother, 'The Big Bang Theory' Cast Spilled All The Tea At PaleyFest
The cast didn't hold back and dished about this season's best upcoming moments.
It's Bazinga x infinity, people!
During The Big Bang Theory red carpet and panel at PaleyFest, the cast and creatives from the show talked about the most exciting things that are yet to come this season. Series stars Johnny Galecki, Jim Parsons, Kaley Cuoco, and Kunal Nayyar were all in attendance, and they didn't hold back when it came to spilling the tea about what lies ahead for their characters.
If you think The Big Bang Theory has been lagging a bit this season, well, you're in for quite the surprise. The nerds who can't get their elevator to work will soon be basking in a lot of excitement and drama! Keep reading to find out the five biggest revelations we gathered from the cast and creatives at PaleyFest.
1. Bill Gates is in the house, y'all (and he's totally creeped out by Leonard).
It's official! Bill Gates will make an appearance on an upcoming episode of The Big Bang Theory. It all happens thanks to Penny, who is hosting Gates at work. During the panel, a clip of the episode was shown in which Leonard blubbered his way to a new level of embarrassment. After confessing his life-long obsession and admiration for Gates, Leonard asked his idol for a hug, but ended up with a tissue instead. Hey, we can't blame Gates! Leonard was acting like a guy whose brain had turned into hot cheese melting inside a dumpster.
2. Will Leonard and Penny ever have a baby?
Although both Kaley Cuoco and Johnny Galecki passionately expressed a firm "No" to this question, all hope is not lost. In fact, Galecki eventually relented and talked about how the couple would be as parents. "Leonard is a really sensitive guy, so I think he would be a good father," Galecki told Zimbio. "Penny is really excited about her professional career right now, so Leonard would be a great stay-at-home dad."
During the panel, Cuoco expressed her interest in Leonard and Penny taking a modern approach to marriage — one that’s not defined by them having kids. "Penny is very happy with having a promising career right now, and I also think it’s okay for married people to not have kids. It doesn’t define them in any way," stated Cuoco.
3. A #Shamy wedding is imminent, so get ready for those bachelor and bachelorette parties!
Executive prouder Steve Holland confirmed to Zimbio that Sheldon and Amy's wedding episode has not yet been scripted and that anything's possible. "We're definitely going to see their wedding. Honestly we haven't written the episode yet," Holland stated. "We've been talking about it a lot this season and have been building up to it all along. There are a lot of ideas about what's going to be in it, but I don't have the exact specifics just yet."
As for those bachelor and bachelorette parties, Cuoco revealed that they have been filmed already. "We had a lot of fun filming those," she stated. "I think they are really different from what people think they would be like."
Consider us intrigued, girl! We can't wait to see Sheldon and Amy let loose and party like it's 1999.
4. Jerry O' Connell has been cast as Sheldon's brother!
Sheldon's older brother, Georgie, will be portrayed by none other than Jerry O'Connell. The oldest Cooper sibling will make Sheldon and Amy's wedding a very torrid family affair. The show's producers announced the big news during the panel, but kept mum about the details. We can't wait to see what shenanigans adult Georgie will get into! And, yes, we can already feel Sheldon's eyeballs rolling to the back of his head.
5. What is Leonard's favorite part about being Sheldon's carefully-selected best man?
"Well, the fact that Leonard lets Amy deal with the grunt of Sheldon's fretting about the wedding," Galecki told Zimbio. "Sheldon's not Leonard's problem anymore. I'm like a very proud papa giving his daughter away down the isle — without the tears, of course, and only with pure joy."
We can't wait for Sheldon and Amy's big day to arrive! It's going to have several bazingas to say the least! Which one of these five revelations are you the most excited about? Hit the comments to dish and discuss all your unfiltered commentary.
