'American Idol' Top 10 Results: Who Went Home?

Wonder if he gets to keep the jacket? (Fox).
And then there were nine.

After Wednesday night's (mostly) show-stopping performances, American Idol made its first truly shocking elimination of the season — and Nicki Minaj was not happy about.

Church singer Curtis Finch Jr. received the lowest number of votes, surprising because he had been deemed an early favorite by the judges. Minaj was so shocked when she learned the news that she walked away from the judges' table, mouthing, “I’m done.”

She took her seat again to watch Finch perform “I Believe I Can Fly” in the hopes of being saved, but it was not to be. Though Minaj said after his performance, “If you go home, I’m going home,” the other judges didn't feel quite as passionately and opted to send Finch on his way.

Paul Jolley and Devin Velez joined Finch in the Bottom 3, and for the first time American Idol also revealed its Top 3 vote-getters of the night: Candice Glover, Kree Harrison, and Angie Miller (also Zimbio's Top 3).

What do you think of tonight's American Idol results? Were you shocked to see Curtis Finch, Jr. go home so early? Were you happy to see Charlie Askew and Aubrey Cleland back and singing for a chance on the Idol tour? Sound off with your thoughts in the comments below!
