'American Idol' Will 'Likely' Go Back to 3 Judges After This Season

With Randy Jackson officially out for next season, American Idol will "likely" go back to a three-judge panel for its 14th season, Fox entertainment chairman Kevin Reilly told TheWrap.com.
The Fox exec wouldn't confirm reports that all four judges would be gone next season, but did say the remaining three judges would be "welcome back." That's news to Idol fans, who have largely assumed that Fox execs have been unhappy with the bickering that has come to define the Season 13 judges panel.

Last week Jackson, the only original judge left on the show, personally confirmed his exit after this season. None of the other three judges (Keith Urban, Nicki Minaj, and Mariah Carey) have addressed the rumors. We'll be looking for clues about their possible returns this week as Idol heads into its two-part finale on Wednesday and Thursday.
