Netflix Has Just Revealed the Fate of 'House of Cards'
"Madame President" just feels so right, doesn't it?
After a month of speculation on how Netflix would choose to conclude its political juggernaut, House of Cards, we finally have an answer. While speaking at a communication's conference in New York, the streaming giant's Chief Content Officer, Ted Sarandos, announced that Robin Wright will lead the show's sixth and final season
Sarandos said that he was glad "we could get to an agreement” and give a sense of “closure of the show for fans,.” He also added that he was thankful for a final season since there are 2,000 people who work on the show in Baltimore, where the show is filmed.
The show's production has been on hiatus since late October, after HOC's protagonist, Kevin Spacey, was accused of sexual assault. Production will resume on Dec. 8. The season will consist of eight episodes — substantially less than House of Cards' five prior seasons, which each consisted of 13.
Will you watch Claire Underwood helm the series?
