Bindi Irwin's 'DWTS' Finale Performance Will Make You Ugly Cry
Don't say we didn't warn you.
Crikey! We don't think this show has ever made us so emotional.
In a poignant dance set to Leona Lewis's "Footprints in the Sand," Bindi Irwin capped her Dancing With the Stars experience with her best performance yet. The freestyle, a tribute to her late father Steve Irwin, left the judges, audience, and viewers in tears as the 17 year-old effortlessly twisted and turned to prove that she absolutely deserves to win this season. (If she doesn't, it will be a travesty.)
"Sometimes during rehearsals it feels like there are three people in the room," Irwin said during the pre-dance package. "Derek [Hough] put that in this freestyle. And I feel that dad is with me every day."
At the end of the dance, Irwin was surprised to see a projected photo of herself with her father, an idea from dance partner Derek Hough. We were also surprised, but couldn't really make out her reaction through all of our tears. Seriously, we pretty much looked like this:
