South African Rugby Player Tired of Autograph Seekers Mistaking Him for The Edge

Matfield. His name is Victor Matfield. Not "Edge." Not "The Edge." Not "holy shit it's that one guy from U2." Victor Matfield.

Of course, it's only in America that Matfield would be mistaken for The Edge. Anywhere Rugby is played, Matfield is known as the best lock in the world, giving his team, the Springboks, a big advantage on line-outs, where his six-and-a-half foot frame gives him the edge on his rivals. That's right. Six-and-a-half feet. You think The Edge is that tall? No way.

But no one cares about that in America. In America it's all "what's it like hanging out with Bono?" and "Mr. The Edge, could you sign my cleavage?"

Well that last one works out OK. Maybe he'll keep that mustache after all.
