Prince William and Princess Kate have released the first official photo of Princess Charlotte and Prince George, and it's pretty awwwwwww-inducing.

In the photo, little Charlotte, now five weeks old, is sitting on the lap of her 22-month-old big brother. George, rocking his signature knee socks and side part, is staring down at his baby sister with a look that is part adoration and part what is this tiny thing I'm holding?

Dressed in a white sweater and propped up by a pillow, Princess Charlotte looks wide-eyed and sports the slightest bit of brown hair. The adorable photo was taken in mid-May by mom Kate. The shot was first posted on the official Twitter account of the palace, @KensingtonRoyal.

Update: After releasing the first photo of Charlotte and George on Twitter, the palace has also released three more snapshots! Warning, your heart may explode from the sheer cuteness of these.

Charlotte Elizabeth Diana was born on May 2 at 8:34 am London time and weighed in at 8 lbs and 3 oz. Just like when Prince George was born on July 22, 2013, William and Kate emerged from the Lindo Wing of St. Mary's Hospital to introduce their daughter to world just hours after the baby's birth. Wrapped in an ivory blanket in her mother's arms, her tiny royal highness slept through her debut.
