YouTubeNo, you're not dreaming. After a seemingly endless leave of absense, Justin Timberlake is finally ready to start making music again. Also: Adele gets nominated for an Oscar, Destiny's Child is back(!), and more ahead.
JT Is "Ready" to Make Music Again
Six long years have gone by since Justin Timberlake last released a studio album. In that time, the guy has starred in a dozen films — including Best Picture winner The Social Network — and gotten engaged to Jessica Biel. But now it appears he's finally ready to return to the studio.
On Thursday, JT released a video on YouTube that shows him walking into a studio, putting on a pair of headphones, and saying "I'm ready." The rest of the one-minute clip involves him strolling through a really well furnished home (his?), while he talks about his music aspirations in an eloquent voiceover.
"Someone asked me the other day 'So, are you just done with music?' It means more to me than anybody else in the world," he says. "I don't want to put anything out that I feel like is something I don't love, you just don't get that every day. You have to wait for it."
So what exactly motivated JT to finally return to music? Was it his fans' impassioned pleas? Or has he merely grown tired of acting? Whatever the case, we're more than happy to hear the news, and can't wait to see where he goes from here. The Hollywood Reporter believes JT's working on a new album, and that it could drop as soon as next week. If you go to Timberlake's website, you'll see a timer that's set to expire at midnight Sunday. So something will develop soon. Got any ideas? Sound off in the comments section.
Destiny's Child Is Back
On the same day that JT said he was ready to make music again, Beyonce Knowles took to Facebook to drop this bomb: "I am so proud to announce the first original Destiny's Child music in eight years!" Personally, we think that sentence deserves more than just one exclamation mark, but the point is: DESTINY'S CHILD IS BACK.
Are you still standing? Okay, here are the details:
Beyonce, Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams will release a Destiny's Child compilation album, titled Love Songs, and it will feature one brand spankin' new track, "Nuclear." Destiny's Child last released an album in 2004, or nearly 3,000 days ago. But who's counting? With Beyonce set to take the stage at the Super Bowl halftime show, we can only imagine the girls will reunite for the most-watched TV event of the year. It's got to happen. Right?
Watch This: New Charli XCX
Take some saucy lyrics, mix them with an old school dance sound, and you've got Charli XCX. The British singer just released a new music video for "You (Ha Ha Ha)." Here's how she described the vid to Pitchfork: "Shooting the video in a gun factory seemed like the perfect grindhouse setting for a kick ass, girl power story, with super pretty girls swapping the bullets for lipstick. Cute!"

Katy Perry Scores 4 People's Choice Awards
She wasn't the most-nominated artist of the night — that honor went to Maroon 5's Adam Levine — but Katy Perry certainly went home happy. The pop star won four trophies at the People's Choice Awards last night, the most of any singer. She scored Favorite Pop Artist, Favorite Female Artist, Favorite Music Video for "Part of Me" and Favorite Music Fan Following for the KatyCats.
Adele Will Probably Win an Oscar
The Grammy-winning pop star was nominated for an Oscar Thursday, and bookies believe she'll go home happy February 24. Goldderby.com gives Adele 15/8 odds (or a 35 percent chance) to win the Academy Award for Best Song. Here's what Adele had to say after learning she had been nominated. "Oh my god I feel like Meryl Streep!! Thank you," she tweeted.
