Brace yourself, Harry Potter fans. The end is finally near for the Wizarding World.

During the London premiere of the stage production of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, J.K. Rowling revealed that she's finally good and done with expanding the Potterverse. At the event, the British author told press that Harry Potter "goes on a very big journey during these two plays and then, yeah, I think we're done."

She added: "This is the next generation, you know. So, I'm thrilled to see it realized so beautifully but, no, Harry is done now."

Ummm, I think we're going to need a minute...

After seven Harry Potter novels, eight films, a two-part play, a newly-released script for the play, and all the Harry Potter theme parks, you'd think Rowling would have already been "done" with the world she launched back in 1997. But nearly 20 years later, love for the franchise remains strong.

If you're one of the many Potterheads out there disappointed by the latest news, fret not. There's always the Harry Potter reboot to look forward to.
