Jaden and Willow Smith are best known for a.) being the children of Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith, and b.) occasionally doing karate in movies and/or whipping their hair back and forth. Now we can add c.) giving deliciously bizarre interviews to their list of major accomplishments.
Jaden, 16, and Willow, 14, sat down with T magazine "on a bluff overlooking the Pacific Ocean" to discuss, ostensibly, their new albums, but also a whole bunch of other weird stuff like prana energy (what?), how time doesn't really exist, and the trouble with driver's ed. Read on for the best bits:
On what they're currently reading:
Willow: "Quantum physics"
Jaden: "...ancient texts; things that can’t be pre-dated."

Willow: "I mean, time for me, I can make it go slow or fast, however I please, and that’s how I know it doesn’t exist."

On baby science:
Jaden: "When babies are born, their soft spots bump: It has, like, a heartbeat in it. That’s because energy is coming through their body, up and down."
Willow: "Prana energy."
Jaden: "It’s prana energy because they still breathe through their stomach. They remember. Babies remember."

On the trouble with finding good stuff to read:
Willow: "There’re no novels that I like to read so I write my own novels, and then I read them again, and it’s the best thing."

On driver's ed:
Jaden: "You never learn anything in school. Think about how many car accidents happen every day. Driver’s ed? What’s up? I still haven’t been to driver’s ed because if everybody I know has been in an accident, I can’t see how driver’s ed is really helping them out."

On dessert:
Willow: "Me and Jaden just figured out that our voices sound like chocolate together. As good as chocolate tastes, it sounds that good."

It's all gold. Tap into your own prana baby energy and read the whole interview now.
