Zachary Levi Will Return to Television in 'Heroes' Relaunch

Chuck Bartowski is trading in his spy pants for superpowers.

About a year ago, we campaigned hard for Chuck to come back (and when we say "campaigned hard" we mean we wrote an article about it and begged the TV gods). Well, someone has heard us, and that someone probably works for NBC. The Nerd Herd won't ride again yet, but Chuck star Zachary Levi will return to the peacock network to star in Heroes Reborn, the relaunch of the wildly promising (and quickly disappointing) Tim Kring superhero drama.

"We’re still keeping Zac’s role under wraps," NBC boss Bob Greenblatt told reporters at the TCA winter preview event. "Because everything is shrouded in mystery for this miniseries, but we’re very excited he’s been cast."

Thanks for the vagueness, Bob, but really, we're okay with a little mystery. We know our boy Chuck Zac will find a way to save the world no matter what. After all, just like Liam Neeson in Taken, Levi's got a very particular set of skills.

More castings for Heroes Reborn are expected to be announced in the next few weeks. The show will premiere on NBC sometime in late 2015. Will you be tuning in?
