Ask anyone on the Zimbio team to name their favorite home & design website and the answer, hands down, would be Lonny. We’re excited about this acquisition on many fronts: Gaining an incredibly influential publication with a loyal and passionate audience is great. But we’re also adding a talented and creative group to our Editorial team, as well as extending our women’s lifestyle reach into a new category. It’s a win-win. Technically, it’s a win-win-win.
What is Lonny?
Lonny Magazine covers.
With its stunning photography, accessible style, and emphasis on real, functional living spaces, Lonny instantly struck a chord with readers looking for a more down-to-earth perspective to the genre. The central belief that great design can be found anywhere has allowed them to feature everything from the smallest apartments to the grandest homes. The magazine also shines a spotlight on noteworthy bloggers, the latest market finds, and directly connects readers to products and resources. Lonny has also profiled the work and interiors of iconic designers like Bunny Williams, Kelly Wearstler, Albert Hadley, Vicente Wolf, and Cath Kidston; and has been featured on The Nate Berkus Show, in Vanity Fair, The New York Times, and blogs all over the world.
What happens next?
The Lonny team will continue putting out great issues and we’ll be investing in ways to grow the website and enhance the overall experience. Specifically, we think it’d be nice to have easy access to back issues, complete with a fully searchable archive of the thousands of original images Lonny has shot over the years. And how great would it be to get Lonny on your iPad?
We also want to officially welcome Lonny founders Michelle Adams and Patrick Cline, who will continue at the Lonny helm, as well as the rest of the Lonny team. Here’s to a great new chapter for both Lonny and Zimbio!
