William Hill Opens Temporary Sports Book At Capital One Arena In Washington D.C.

Today marked the official grand opening with ceremonial first bets placed by ticket holders loyal to the Washington Capitals, Wizards and Mystics since their inaugural seasons. Angela Tilghman of Washington, D.C., bet $3.03 (celebrating the March 3 date of the first women’s suffrage procession and to honor Breonna Taylor) that the Washington Mystics will repeat as WNBA champions this season. Dave Dworkin of Centerville, Va. bet $19.73 (the year his family became season ticket holders) on the Washington Wizards winning their Monday, August 3 game against the Pacers. Dave Feldman of Ellicott City, Md. bet $46 (the number of years his family has been season ticket holders) on the Washington Capitals bringing back the Stanley Cup this year.
