CSU Leadership Meets Following Poor State Elections Result

Horst Seehofer (R), Chairman of the Christian Social Union (CSU), and Markus Soeder, Governor of Bavaria and lead candidate of the CSU in yesterday's Bavarian state elections, arrive to speak to the media follwoing a meeting of the CSU leadership at party headquarters on October 15, 2018 in Munich, Germany. The CSU faired poorly in the election, winning 37.2% of the vote, 10.5 votes fewer than in the last election. The CSU has long been Bavaria's strongest party but will now face the arduous task of forming a state government coalition.
