Perth Zoo Keeper Kelly Dunford delivers enrichment to Black and White-Ruffed Lemurs at Perth Zoo on April 23, 2020 in Perth, Australia. The Perth Zoo has been temporarily closed to public since 24 March 2020 in response to the ongoing COVID-19 outbreak. It is the first time in the Zoo's 122-year history that it has closed its doors. Perth Zoo staff continue to work caring for the Zoo's 1300 animals and botanical garden grounds. To protect the animals from any risk of contracting coronavirus (COVID-19), keepers have implemented extra precautionary measures when caring for the animals, wearing face masks, gloves and surgical scrubs (where necessary), and close contact with animals is being kept to a minimum.
