Bon Jovi is a rock band originating from New Jersey. The group is fronted by lead singer and namesake Jon Bon Jovi, and also includes Richie Sambora, David Bryan and Tico Torres. The group originally achieved large-scale success in the 1980s as a hair band because of their voluminous 1980s-style hair.
After more than two decades of producing music, the band has released 10 studio albums and have sold over 120 million albums worldwide.

Rock band Bon Jovi is planning a new world tour that will kick off at the new home of the New York Giants and Jets. The two-year tour will begin May 26 with a show at New Jersey's new $1.6 billion Meadowlands football stadium. It will be the first concert inside the new venue, which is nearing completion. The band announced the tour Thursday during an invitation-only performance for 5,000 fan club contest winners and construction workers in the new stadium's parking lot. LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Rockers Bon Jovi on Thursday announced a world tour of almost two years to promote their 11th studio album "The Circle". The Grammy-award winning band, one of the top five touring acts worldwide in 2008, will perform 135 shows in 30 countries starting in Seattle in February 2010.
