However, Hundley decided that their relationship wasn't quite over. The young woman preceeded to leave a series of phone messages and letters with Phillips' family. One letter mentioned incriminating birthmarks on Phillips' body, with Hundley writing that Phillips had "a big birthmark on his crotch . . . and one on his left inner thigh, so you know I'm not being fake."

Hundley also allegedly got in touch with Phillips' 16-year-old son via Facebook, posing as a classmate wanting to console the boy as his parents went through a difficult time together. However, the messages soon became inappropriate, with Hundley asking the teenager whether his parents slept in the same bed together, whether he thought they would be getting a divorce, and whether his parents fought a lot.
Phillips' wife,
Marni Phillips, has since filed for divorce. Phillips had earlier left the New York Mets, after admitting to a series of affairs with employees within the organization.
