Carrie Ann Inaba on 'DWTS'
Carrie Ann Inaba stopped by
Access Hollywood to defend her fellow
Dancing With the Stars judges, who have come under fire for recent comments.
Pro dancer
Maksim Chmerkovskiy and eliminated contestant
Chaz Bono have both spoken out publicly about perceived unfairness and belittling from the judges this season, but Carrie Ann Inaba thinks that the controversy has become a bit overblown.
"I actually thought that we were pretty kind this year," she told
Access Hollywood. Inaba added that even though she understands that there are many "sensitive issues" at play this season on
DWTS, she thinks that the judges' comments shouldn't be taken too personally. “The scoring has to do with what they’re doing dance-wise. We are able to separate the two," she said. "Our job is to judge. We actually get paid for our opinions."
So what does Carrie Ann think about Maks' angry snipe that
Len Goodman is too old to be a good judge? Inaba thought it was a “very awkward moment … it just taken the wrong way.”
