Jovovich - Hawk Close
Milla Jovovich announced in Lucky Mag that she is no longer going to design and Jovovich-Hawk will close. The model/actress established the label in 2003 with her good friend and model Carmen Hawk. Recently brought into the mainstream repertoire with a capsule collection for Target, it was also a popular brand in stores like Fred Segal. Jovovich claims to be “in a time of rediscovery, from (her) career to…personal style.” Wow, that’s terrific spin for the economy is tanking and this is not the first time you’re going to see mid-market lines cease. Wake up fashionistas (we HATE that term) and smell the reality. Recessionista is the new fashionista -we hate all the ‘istas’ but at least it takes some innovation and creativity to be a recessionista- fashionista’s follow fashion BS and trends like sheep. We are sad for Milla, we’ll be following her like sheep to see what’s next -our love for her spans back to her early modeling years.
