What in the world is going on? More gun violence erupts, this time it has occurred in an office building in Orlando, Florida. The police is reportedly trying to find Jason Rodriguez, the suspect in the shooting at Gateway Center, that has left one person dead and several injured. The issue of blackface in America continues to rear its ugly head. The latest comes from two white Northwestern University students who wore blackface for Halloween, which sparked campus-wide outrage after the pictures surfaced on Facebook. URGENT: At least seven people have been shot to death and 12 wounded at Fort Hood, Texas. Additional details are not forthcoming at this time. NBC News said it is unknown whether victims are soldiers or civilians. One gunman was reportedly in custody and another was on the loose, NBC News said. Dallas Cowboys cheerleader Whitney Isleib has stepped in a hornet's nest with her blackface costume for Halloween. I read about this on several celebrity websites last weekend, but deliberately chose to wait and see how the drama would unfold. Another tragedy has occurred at another university. This time, three softball players from Dickinson State University in North Dakota, have been found dead in a Jeep Grand Cherokee submerged in a stock pond northwest of Dickinson. The bodies of Krysten Gemar, 22, Ashley Neufeld, 21, and Afton Williamson, 20, were recovered from the vehicle.

Andrew Williamson-Noble, a New York University junior committed suicide this morning by leaping from the 10th floor of the main library. The student reportedly used an NYU-issued card to swipe himself into the Bobst Library, where he committed suicide around 4:30 a.m. One student reported hearing a "loud thud" when the student's body hit the marble floor in the atrium of the library. Police said Billy Maxwell, Jr., a prominent Fayetteville, N.C., businessman, shot and killed his wife, Kathryn, and two teenage children, Connor and Cameron, Monday night before killing himself. One of the victim's in-laws discovered the bodies and called 911. Friends of the family described Billy Maxwell as a good family man who was highly involved in Snyder Baptist Church and his community. Kathy was a member of the Junior League of Fayetteville.
