What Must I Do To Be Saved?

To be saved must imply there's something that is dangerous, of which we are saved from. Now man is a credulous animal and desires belief in something. Why so, you ask. It's because God gave us a measure of faith says Romans 12:3. Everyone has a belief system whether it's correctly based on the word of God or their own. There is a way that seems right to a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death-Proverbs 14:2. Everyone tries to fill their spiritual void with something greater than themselves. Just as in the natural world when one hungers, they must eat. One can eat good healthy meals or junk food eveyday, but one must eat or die. So spiritually we will partake of either good or bad things. The bible tells us that salvation is of the Lord. It belongs to him and he's the light and salvation of his believers. God states that he alone can be your Lord and Savior in Isaiah 43:11. Without him we can do nothing as per John 5:27 and 15:5. For with God nothing is impossible states Luke 1:37. We know God is a Spirit and can be everwhere at all times as in John 4:24 and 1Kings 8:27. Now there are men who are putting out confusing and contrary opinions (To the bible and many are supposedly "Christians" ; that is obedient followers of his actions and the bible.) and saying all can be saved by belief in something Divine. God is a specific God, and just look at nature his creation, for the answer. Let's look at bees. They gather nectar and pollinate flowers (And afterwards return home to their hives.) and can specifically signal where to find exact areas with it by a dance they do. Now the enemy comes only to kill, steal, and destroy- but God to give life abundantly. Jesus came to save us from the second death, in Revelation 21:8. Jesus died in our place to redeem and to make amends for wrong actions or our Atonement-Romans 5:11. And Hebrews 2:3 states that if we neglect this salvation we will escape. Since God has made the way to be saved, it would be good to see how according to his word. The Jailer of Acts 16 asked "What must I do to be saved"? Paul told him to believe (Real faith requires action James 2:17-25, more than "I believe in one God, as the devils do as well, and are not saved"!) and he did. As we read that he was obedient to Jesus command of water baptism in his name (John 3:5, Luke 24:47, and Mark 16:16). 1Peter 3:21 says that were are saved by it, (Through our faith in action!) and it clears our conscience. We are saved by grace, hope, and belief along with repentance. (Grace is defined as the relection of God in one's life. Moses faced reflected God's glory after speaking to the Almighty. And to repent is to fully follow God by forsaking your ways.) see Eph. 2:5, Rom 8:24, John 3:16, and Acts 2:38. His blood justifies us, Rom 5:9-10. Not by works of righteousness we've done, but by his mercy he saves us, by the washing and regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost-Tit 3:5. We must confess our belief in him prior to baptism and call upon it it in it, states Romans 10:9-13. And we must take heed to follow the doctrine (Or teachings therein.) of Christ continually, and in doing so we save ourselves and others-Tim 4:16. Every verse quoted here is 100 percent correct but has a context in which to fit in. You can not just pick some and leave others out. As many do today, and choose only what they want to preach and teach, and not the whole word of God! One verse alone is not enough to form an doctrine. Would you want a cake that had only flour, eggs, and sugar in it? Each verse must be read, applied, and explained in it's context. Also, we are to study to show ourselves approved unto God 2Tim 2:15. Matthew 4:4 Man shall not live by bread alone, but by EVERY word that proceeds out of the mouth of the Lord.  If we are partial (Mal 2: 8-9) then we will made word of God a stumbling block, departed from his way, and would of have corrupted his words. Those who do so will be made base and contemptible, being considered the least among men. Let us pray for peace in our lives, and in the lives of those we love, and finally for the world's. May God richly bless you and enlighten you daily, through his spirit and his word.
