Thompson reports that Bill Mechanic, the Oscar telecast producer, confirmed the iconoclastic filmmakers' duties during that other Oscar show, Saturday night's Governors Awards. Little Britain star David Walliams has said that he was “thrilled” when celebrated Roald Dahl illustrator Quentin Blake agreed to do the drawings for his new book. The comedian’s new book, Mr Stink, is the second time he has collaborated on a book for children with Blake, 77, for which the former Children’s Laureate did the cover, as well as the inside drawings.
