Summary: Kenzi Friday was a geography teacher and varsity cheerleading coach arrested in April of 2009 on charges of an improper relationship between an educator and student. The arrest occured after a teacher at Friday's school alerted police to a possible relationship between Friday and a 17-year-old male student. The relationship is reported to have lasted from the beginning of the school year in 2008 up through the beginning of April 2009. Friday resigned from the school after her arrest was announced. She is still awaiting trial on charges that carry a maximum penalty of 20 months in prison and up to $10,000 in fines.
