Summary: Hope Jacoby was a 23-year-old physical trainer at Tustin High School. Authorities were informed about a sexual relationship between Jacoby and a male student after other students at the high school saw a photograph of Jacoby on the boy's cell phone. Police say the boy was between 14 and 17 years old. Jacoby offered a letter of resignation from the school, stating that December 19, 2008, would be her last day at the school. She was arrested on her final day of school, with a sheriff official telling the LA Times, "Even though the age gap may be fairly close, it's still illegal and we will arrest." Authorities say that Jacoby had sex with the boy on numerous occasions, including in her home in San Juan Capistrano and in an elementary school parking lot. Web sites later discovered what some claim to be Jacoby's MySpace page with numerous photographs she had taken in the months before her arrest. She is currently free on bail, awaiting trial on charges of oral copulation with a minor and unlawful sex with a minor.
