Alan Lander, aka the Winston Man, has died of throat and lung cancer, believed to be related to smoking, at 68. Landers was a model and actor who was the face of Winston cigarettes in the 1960s and early '70s. By the late '80s, Lander suffered from several illnesses he attributed to a lifetime of smoking. Alan Landers the "Winston Man" or Allan Levine in real life died last Friday at the age of 68 while undergoing treatment for a throat cancer. Allan Landers was a Winston Cigarette Model. He started smoking at an early age. But a cigarette model he maybe, he later on sued Winston cigarette for health claims.
