Eva Mendes recently wore a stunning yellow Bill Blass dress to the Hollywood premiere of The Spirit, which got me wondering which other celebs have pulled off yellow gowns in the past.

I always roll my eyes when I see stars posing with their hands in their pockets, but this dress is sso lovely I don't quite mind. And it looks like Eva Mendes is a fan of yellow:

My favorite yellow gown of all time was worn by Renee Zellweger to the 2001 Academy Awards: a vintage dress by 1960s couturier Jean Desses. Simple, and oh-so-Hollywood elegant.
