Blige says she passed on the hit song “Umbrella” before it was sent to pop songstress Rihanna .  The reigning Queen of Hip-Hop Soul reportedly states “ I'm not going to chase what [mainstream] fans like.  It might work for Mariah.  It might work for even Beyonce.
