IIN DEFENSE OF CAROL MCCAIN............

I am not a McCain supporter but information like this should include a reliable source. Those who comment on this site are not privy to the personal details of the McCain's marriage. Not your business! Don't vote for McCain because he opposes women's rights and he panders to the right wing.

Women would vote for John McCain when they find out how he treated Carol..

I am a woman and i am pretty shocked that he treated his first wife the way he did. He mentions his military service, and then neglects to mention that he had an affair with Cindy while he was still married. Also, he never mentions that he left a crippled wife with three kids. His actions shows a lack morality and respect for women. This happened when he was in his forties...the time when he should have been showing the most character. So, he was swayed by the beautiful & wealthy Cindy...seems like he was/is able to be corrupted.

its easy to get angry and point fingers and say that John Mccain is heartless etc. but the fact is he and his former wife both attest to the divorce being mutual. In fact, Cindy Mccain still supports John in everything he does including his presidential campaign

I don't know how any woman could or would vote for John McCain after what he did to his first wife Carol Shepp McCain! Carol was in a serious car accident, she was put through 23 surgeries just to save her life, she didn't want anyone to inform McCain at the time because he was a POW and was going through his own troubles and she didn't want him to worry about her. When John McCain returned to America in 1973 and was met by his disfigured wife Carol, McCain callously, selfishly, started having affairs with other women finally settling with Cindy Hensley as his mistress 17 years his junor. John McCain walked out on his wife,his children,then PUSHED Carol for a divorce and she finally gave into what John wanted. Why wouldn't Carol give in, she knew that she wasn't any longer the beauty that John married, I suppose she had low self-esteem and it didn't help knowing that John had been having MANY AFFAIRS with other women, good for the old self-esteem,..... RIGHT ??? So he divorces Carol then the following month marry's Cindy Hensley who's father is rich. Nothing like marrying into money. NOW, he ask's a young beautiful woman to be his VP ! I see a pattern here with John McCain and young, beautiful women and it needs to be called what it is............... WOMANIZER !!! John McCain uses women for his own selfish needs and wants. Sure McCain gave Carol property in the divorce but later on John's mother turned around and sued Carol for personal property,...hmmmm I wonder what property she wanted. Women should not vote for McCain unless their heartless and self-centered like John McCain !

What? He got a divorce? OMG that is terrible. Are you aware of what the divorce rate is in this country? And you know Carol McCain? Did you know John? How can anyone comment on what happened and it is their business. I was friends with one and knew the other and what went on is not for public information. Are you who write self- appointed, prosecutor, jury and judge? All three are nice people and what they do is not your business. Keep quiet and tend to your own problems.

John McCain's divorce wouldn't be fodder for public commentary if it wasn't yet surgical technique in his EXTREME MAKEOVER to get elected as the next U.S. President. Which, by the way, INCLUDES pandering to right-wing evangelists who want to control a woman's decision regarding her own body by imposing religious/personal views through the reversal of Roe v Wade, what people do in the privacy of their own bedrooms and dictate the definition of marriage through their anti-gay views declaring these unnatural abominations are supported in the Christian Bible. John McCain's disrespect for & unfaithfulness to his 1st wife is relevant along with all the other components of John McCain's EXTREME MAKEOVER for the 2008 election. Though not more important than all the other MAKEOVERS, it is one of a long list of views and actions that contradicts his EXTREME MAKEOVER as a pro-woman, pro-worker, populist "agent of change" who steals slogans & quotes from the Democrats . I know it's Halloween, but come on!
