American Idol champ Carrie Underwood may have recently chopped all of her hair into a cute blond bob, [editors note: it was faux!] but a lot of her fun and flirty looks would be fantastic hairstyles for prom. For the Grammy Awards, Carrie's stylist pulled the singer's blown-out hair into this slightly-messy ponytail. It works for the occasion because the sections of hair around Carrie's face remain smooth and sleek. This was one of several hair looks Carrie sported that night.



At the People's Choice Awards, Underwood opted for a simple half-up, half-down hairstyle, with gentle curls.



She later put her hair up in this sweet-looking updo, probably to show off the sparkly neckline of her Jenny Packham dress.



Carrie wore her hair straight and half-up, half-down for the American Idol finals in 2008. She appears to have her hair pinned back underneath a section of straight hair, hiding the clasp.



Carrie's hair, in this picture, appears to have been blown-out and gently teased around the crown of the head for added volume.



At a movie premiere last year, Carrie opted for a super-romantic sideswept hairstyle that looks difficult to do at home, but could be perfect for prom.
