LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - The prerelease narrative behind "Funny People" is that funnyman Judd Apatow has gone serious in his third outing as a writer-director and made a drama, albeit one set in the world of stand-up comics. LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Adam Sandler suffered his worst opening weekend at the North American box office in more than four years on Sunday as his chart-topping comedy "Funny People" debuted at the lower end of expectations. According to studio estimates, the film sold $23.4 million worth of tickets in the three days since opening July 31 across the United States and Canada.
