Variety had a little news brief that was passed along to me. It turns out the Leonard Nimoy isn’t only Trek alum that will reprising a role in the new JJ Abrams vision of Star Trek . Majel Barrett-Rodenberry will also reprise her role as the voice of the shipboard computer for The Enterprise. She has provided the regular voice of starship onboard computers for Star Trek: The Original Series, Star Trek: The Next Generation, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, Star Trek: Voyager . The creator of " Star Trek " and his wife will spend eternity together in space. Celestis Inc., a company that specializes in "memorial spaceflights," said Monday that it will ship the remains of Gene Roddenberry and Majel Barrett Roddenberry into space next year. The couple's cremated remains will be sealed into specially made capsules designed to withstand the rigors of space travel . A rocket-launched spacecraft will carry the capsules , along with digitized tributes from fans.
