A community portal about Paganism with blogs, videos, and photos. According to Wikipedia.org: Paganism is a term which, from a western perspective, has come to connote a broad set of spiritual or religious beliefs and practices of natural or polytheistic religions. The term can be defined broadly, to encompass many or most of the faith traditions outside the Abrahamic monotheistic group of Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. This group may include the Dharmic religions, which may be interpreted to incorporate pagan characteristics like nature-worship, polytheism and reverence of female deities, and are thus diametrically opposite to the Abrahamic faiths. "Pagan" is the usual translation of the Islamic term mushrik, which refers to'one who worships something other than The God of Abraham'. Ethnologists avoid the term "paganism," with its uncertain and varied meanings, in referring to traditional or historic faiths, preferring more precise categories such as shamanism, polytheism or animism.
Title: HANSEN: FENCE, NOT PAGANISM, DIVIDING NEIGHBORS I went out to the southeast side of town the other day and talked to the main players in the great pagan-symbol fence feud.
"Religious Freedom," do those two words make you twitch, do you break out in a rash, and are you sitting there saying..."Yeah right?" If you're a pagan like myself, you've probably had at least some experience ...
A decision that allows hand-painted religious symbols on a Des Moines couple's privacy fence has opened a debate at City Hall over the definition of graffiti.

Rob Barner may not be home for family dinner, but after his two tours of military duty in Iraq, Stefani Barner is just happy that her husband is in the same hemisphere.
Today I thought I’d share with you one of my favorite books about herbal magick, The Wicca Herbal by Jamie Wood.
The introduction contains a bunch of information that is, as usual, questionable, but not offensively so. She describes a tradition, which she calls Wicca, which is certainly earth-based spirituality and witchcraft, but is not really Wicca, though the definition of Wicca is so convoluted these days, who knows what it is. She gives a brief ritual outline that is certainly Wiccan and...

So there is Kathy Lee and there is a wedding and there is a quote. “The nasty, bad pagans”. If you want to see it for yourself go here - http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/21134540/vp/25367004#25368216
than fast forward to 4:25 or so (that’s 4 minutes and 25 seconds into the video) and it’s there in all the glory that TV brings us. All the glory of a bad, ignorant TV personality. Shame - I used to like Kathy Lee.
So what is a Pagan to think??
I began thinking of all the media spots where pagan...

I am appalled that NBC has allowed one of it's commentators to get away with her pagan bashing comment on the Today Show. Is religious intolerance now acceptable on national television?

Pagans are not bad nasty people. We are mothers, fathers, brothers and sisters. We are your co-worker. We donate to charity, we help our neighbor.

New Moon in Cancer, July 3
The new moon in Cancer is the perfect time for nurturing close familial relationships so take some time to send out some good energy to your distant family members and/or invite the local relatives over for a backyard barbeque.
Many of Pagans feel disconnected from our families because of religious differences, but connection to the...

I am not going to get excited about this because I try to make a point of not getting excited over what stupid people have to say. Like when President Bush gets up and starts talking about Weapons of Mass Destruction, I don’t get excited because I know he’s an idiot and doesn’t know what he’s talking about. Likewise, I am pretty sure Kathy Lee is too much of an idiot to get excited about as well. Besides, there are lots of other people getting excited without my help, and well they should be...
