Sarah Palin Reveals Not-So-Shocking Secret Service Cover-Up

In a new interview with Runner's World, renowned high school basketball player Sarah Palin answers no less than 38(!) questions directly about running. These guys have their bases covered. If you happen to be working on a term paper about the running habits of washed-up Alaskans with annoying accents, this is a prime source.

But the big reveal isn't that Sarah Palin listens to Van Halen, AC/DC, and Amy "contemporary Christian" Grant all in the same run. It's that she coerced Secret Service agents into covering up an embarrassing incident. *GASP*

Insipid Question: Tell me about a memorable run during the campaign that really stands out.

Shocking Answer: Oh, my gosh, the one that really stands out I'm embarrassed to death to repeat. I went for a run at John McCain's ranch a couple of days before the debate with Joe Biden. ... Then I fell coming down a hill and was so stinkin' embarrassed that a golf cart full of Secret Service guys had to pull up beside me. My hands just got torn up and I was dripping blood. ...

I don't remember news reports about it.

Heck no! I made those guys swear to secrecy. And I probably should have gotten a couple stitches. But I was insisting with these guys, "Absolutely not, let's just wash it out." ...

So the Secret Service guys kept silent?
They did! And I have this great respect for them that they've kept silent all these months later.
Also, Palin says she could probably beat Obama in a foot race, and she's run a marathon in less than 4 hours. Yes that is actually sort of impressive. It's something for Palin to hold onto during those long Alaskan nights while she contemplates the fact that she'll never beat him in anything else. Say a general election or something.
