Resigned to missing the playoffs for his ninth straight year in Buffalo, defensive end Aaron Schobel questioned the Bills lack of direction with seven games remaining in their season. "It's embarrassing," the longest-tenured player on the Bills roster said Monday, a day after a 41-17 loss at Tennessee dropped Buffalo's record to 3-6. "I mean, we're technically, mathematically still in it, I guess, but it's like what ... are we doing here?" Speaking within earshot of several Bills officials near the entrance of the locker room, Schobel expressed his frustration, but stopped short in explaining what he thinks the franchise's problems are by saying: ... Buffalo Bills receiver Terrell Owens returned to practice Friday and declared himself ready to play in Sunday's game at Tennessee. Owens said he fell asleep on his couch Monday night after practice, and woke up feeling stiff the next morning. He was held out of practice on Wednesday and Thursday, and the team said he had a strained hip. "Earlier in the week it was painful, but I knew I would be ready," said Owens, who is officially listed as questionable. "My couch is very comfortable, so it's easy to fall asleep on. (But) I don't know if it was the couch." Meanwhile, the ... Read Full Story

Great news out of Buffalo. No, it isn’t that Trent Edwards is healing up and will most likely start this Sunday. Buffalo is coming off of a Bye week and was not given an opportunity to further embarrass themselves on offense. I hate getting down on my team but let’s face facts, this team is offensively challenged. There is hope as Buffalo’s schedule becomes easier through the second half of the season, but don’t hold on to the hope that this will translate into a playoff spot. What it will translate into will be another 7-9 season give or take a win. I think ... Read Full Story

The Buffalo News reports on the numbers, or lack of numbers, that Terrell Owens is putting up with the Bills this year; Buffalo Bills receiver Terrell Owens has a candid assessment of his numbers through seven games: “I mean they’re pathetic to be honest,” Owens said Wednesday as the Bills prepared for Sunday’s game against Houston. “Definitely, for myself it’s very, very frustrating. I hear a lot of people saying I’ve hit the wall, I can’t play any more, this and that. I mean, I know I can play. But that’s the thing. I understand what’s going on with this team.” Owens has 18 ... Over a two week period the Buffalo Bills have gone from possible contenders for a top 5 draft pick, to possibly finishing with another 7-9 record. Two weeks ago Buffalo’s offense could not move the ball. Two weeks ago Buffalo was also unable to conjure up any plays on special teams. Fast forward to this week and, although Buffalo’s special teams has improved, the offense is still unable to move the football with any sort of consistency. The Bills were forced to start Ryan Fitzpatrick last week and will do so again against Houston. He did not produce much better than Edwards in his ... Read Full Story

The Buffalo Bills are a team that many thought would be significantly better offensively in 2009 than they’ve shown. The addition of Terrell Owens was supposed to open up the offense, especially with Lee Evans lining up across from him.  Once Marshawn Lynch returned from his early season suspension, the combination of him and Fred Jackson provided a mighty one-two punch.  At quarterback, there were significant questions regarding Trent Edwards...

Why is it that the Buffalo Bills continue to acquire washed-up veterans instead of building and developing what they already have? From the 2002 acquisition of Drew Bledsoe to the recent offseason addition of Terrell "T.O." Owens, Buffalo's personnel moves have not been the smartest in building the championship-caliber team we strive for every year. Now there are rumors of Michael Vick coming to Buffalo in the 2010 offseason. This would be...

As the 2009 NFL football season got underway a couple of months ago, I started to have a bad feeling in my gut that this season for the Dallas Cowboys was going to be a repeat of last year. However, a few weeks ago - the Dallas Cowboys coaching staff gave Miles Austin a chance to play and the rest is history. Like most other Dallas Cowboys fans, I was happy to see Terrell Owens go - but his departure left a huge void in the Dallas Cowboys team...
