Summary: Rhianna Ellis was a social studies teacher at the High School for Health Professions and Human Services in New York, NY. She allegedly began an affair with a student, later identified as Cesar Pozo, when he was 17 years old. According to the New York Post, Ellis and Pozo engaged in numerous sexual trysts over a ten month period. Ellis eventually became pregnant with Pozo's child, and gave birth to a baby in February in 2005. Despite this, she stil gave him a barely-passing grade of 65 in her class. Ellis took an unpaid leave of absence from her teaching position in October of 2004. After the affair was discovered, Special Schools Investigator Richard Condon wrote to Chancellor Joel Klein and recommended that Ellis be fired.
