French actress Marion Cotillard cut her curly brown hair short several months ago, and she's managed to keep her red carpet looks fresh and interesting despite a lack of length to work with.


She debuted her new cut stateside at the Met's Costume Institute Gala in early May, wearing her curls pinned back on one side for a flapper-ish 1920s look. It was a romantic style that suited her glamorous Dior gown (she arrived on the arm of Dior's creative director John Galliano).
Cotillard's bob is long enough that she can pin her hair up into a faux-updo and still have enough volume around her hairline to make it look interesting. She wore it like this to an event at the Cannes Film Festival.
