I’m An Equal Opportunity Taster And Curious Too.
It’s Taco Bell’s Volcano Taco with Lava Sauce – The red Taco shell is kind of fun and different, but tastes exactly like their other hard Taco shell.  The Lava Sauce is pretty spicy and its flavor isn’t bad.  This particular Taco was a bit wimpy and the shell could have been more crisp, but it’s less than a buck. Egg Flower Minced Pork Soup. Hochiak!
I stumbled onto this blog http://www.deliciousasianfood.com/ and learned that its writer was running a contest.  What fun!  He’s offering a $100 prize too.  Who can’t use that these days?  The challenge is to make one of his recipes and post about it on your blog – Then votes will be collected on his blog.  PLEASE vote for me. Thanks for the cool challenge.  I decided to make the Egg Flower Minced Pork Soup, because it has very few ingredients and I’ve never added a minced (ground) meat... Read Full Story

Sarah Who? Palin. Nice To Meet You.
Today Senator John McCain picked Governor Sarah Palin to be his Vice President.  I had not heard of her and was most surprised to learn that she’s only 44 and has five kids.  Wow!  How is it possible to be Vice President of the United States too?  I surely haven’t accomplished enough. I hope John McCain didn’t pick her just because she’s a woman.  Too much misdirected strategy goes on in politics – But I guess she can represent CHANGE now too.  She’s young and doesn’t have much political... Agua Caliente Casino Buffet in Rancho Mirage.
We had the Agua Caliente Casino Buffet for lunch today.  The food was fair compared to two other Casino Buffets we’ve had this year, but the Desserts were tops.  The pictures will give you a taste.  We liked the Buffet best at Fantasy Springs Resort Casino in Palm Springs.  It offered Prime Rib, Carved Turkey, Shrimp, and a great variety of International dishes, Salads and Desserts.  It’s very impressive.  When we hit it everything was fresh.  And  the Buffet at Pala Casino Resort & Spa in... You Know El Matador in Costa Mesa, Right?
I wrote a lengthy review about El Matador for Orange County Mexican Restaurants (OCMEXFOOD Blog).  Christian Z’s site has a lot more food pictures.  Check them out.  I just ate there again and had the Chorizo Con Huevos y Papas with a side of Tortillas and good Cadillac Margarita.  I liked it all.  I’ll tell a semi-funny story about Chorizo when I prepare a Soy Chorizo post.  I don’t wanna think about the ingredients now.  Ciao.  Related Links: http://ocmexfood.blogspot.com/search?q=el... United We Stand — Stop The New Civil War.
United we stand, divided we fall — It’s true.  At today’s Democratic Convention, Hillary Clinton told me that the Democrats are America’s only hope for the future.  That seemed a bit pessimistic about the country, divisive, and over dramatic, but as expected everyone clapped on cue.  But fingers will most likely be pointed in the opposite direction at the Republican Convention next week.  Why must we so harshly divide into separate groups?  The issues remain the same and shouldn’t be...
