False Gospel – False Converts
Ingrained in my mind is the image of people streaming forward to accept Jesus Christ as Savior on television in the 60’s.  Many of us have seen the huge ministries with the inviting music, the call to come forward, the use of the sinner’s prayer. I do believe that many were saved, I also believe that many more were not. Consider these excerpts from “Repentance and Soul-winning,” by David Cloud. Years ago my wife and I had the job of following up on the... Read Full Story
True Patriotism
July 4, 2009 JOHN NEWTON ON TRUE PATRIOTISM From John Newton’s Letters: True patriotism! Dear friend, Allow me to say, that it excites both my wonder and concern, that a Christian minister such as yourself, should think it worth his while to attempt political reforms. When I look around upon the present state of the nation, such an attempt appears to me, to be no less vain and foolish, than it would be to paint the cabin–while the ship is sinking! Or to decorate the parlor–... Read Full Story
A New American Revolution?
A NEW AMERICAN REVOLUTION? By David Cloud Some are calling for a new American revolution, but I would observe that there is a great difference between the last half of the eighteenth century and the first half of the twenty-first. In the 18th century, there existed enough moral character among American citizens to bring about a great, far-reaching revolution based (among other things) on biblical principles, and in hindsight it is obvious that the American revolution was God’s will for that t... Michael Jackson – A Christian Perspective
MICHAEL JACKSON’S LEGACY July 3, 2009 source: www.wayoflife.org - Michael Jackson, the “King of Pop,” died last week of a probable drug-induced heart attack at age 50. Like Elvis Presley and many other rock gods, Jackson was addicted to a variety of drugs and his narcissism would not allow him to submit to any authority outside of himself. Jackson’s influence was great. His music videos helped vault MTV into popularity in the early 1980s. His 1982 hit “Thriller” is either the first or seco... Read Full Story

Way Of Life – Defends the Pre-Tribulation Rapture
The following is enlarged from the Way of Life Advanced Bible Studies Course UNDERSTANDING BIBLE PROPHECY – By David Cloud   The word “rapture” does not appear in the Bible, but it is a term used to describe the catching away of the saints of 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18. The term “caught up” in 1 Th. 4:17 is also translated “pluck” (Jn. 10:28), “take by force” (Acts 23:10), and “pulling [out of the fire]” (Jude 23). It refers to a forceful seizing and a snatching away. It is used of the Spi... Read Full Story
God is Love – but do we love God?
Oh how often I hear….God is Love…Do not judge others. In the “judge not” passage in Matthew 7, Jesus instructs us not to judge hypocritically. “Take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.” As chapter 7 continues we are further  instructed to judge or determine who is a dog (v.6) a false prophet (v.15) and fruit (v.16). Those who are wise heeds these words and will put them into practic... Read Full Story
The Emerging Female God
I have often wondered how one gets to a mindset that entertains God as a female. Anyone who knows scripture and reads the Bible on a consistant basis knows that God is called the “Father”. No other possibility exists. So where do the heresies come from? The explosion of mysticism in our society is key and it is not confined to the general public. It is rampant in the church. Take for instance Neal Donald Walsch. He claims to converse with God. The truth…he is deceived and de... Read Full Story
Discerning the Need for Evangelism…To the Church!
It is easy to find what is wrong with the church today, because there is aplenty. It is not too difficult to point out error and false doctrine with scripture. But the Lord has been speaking to my heart. “Feed my Sheep”.   When I protested the showing of a Hindu movie in our church called “Water”, I was told that “knowledge is power and that we have our faith, and they have their faith.”  How sad is that..? Here are some verses on knowledge… Col 1:... Read Full Story
