David Marriott, the spokesperson for the family, said today about the family's intentions after finding out the verdict: "If the verdict is not guilty, they will hold a press conference in Perugia at the Brufani Hotel one hour after the verdict," he said (via

If the verdict is guilty, they will make a brief statement outside the Italian courthouse and take no questions. The family is said to have prepared 2 statements, one for each possible outcome. Sources said Kercher's parents flew to Perugia to hear the verdict.
Knox and her Italian boyfriend,
Raffaele Sollecito have been in prison since November 2007, when Kercher's body was found inside the apartment where she and Sollecito lived while the girls were studying abroad in Italy. Sollecito is also awaiting his verdict, as he could also face a life sentence.
